Clase Azul is an ultra premium, 100% Weber Blue Agave, Reposado Tequila. Clase Azul tequila is the perfect marriage between the finest Tequila and a beautiful handcrafted, hand-painted Talavera carafe. It is produced and bottled in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas, Jalisco, MX from 100% Tequilana Weber Agave. Clase Azul is aged for a minimum of eight months in small oak barrels. We are using a blend of Bourbon, Cognac, and Sherry casks in the aging process. This aging period and the use of these different barrels differentiates Clase Azul and gives it an award winning taste profile. It has distinct, smooth flavors and aromas, as well as an excellent balance over the palate. This award-winning Scorpion Mezcal Aņejo 1 Year Old is artisan-made in small batches in Oaxaca, Mexico, with a real scorpion in every bottle. This version spends a minimum of 1 year aging in oak barrels of less than 200 liters. Singel barrel bottlings of our aged products ensures premium quality mezcal. The distinctive bottle comes with it's own little Scorpion Mezcal sombrero. Like a fine cognac, the method, age and process determine the smoother, mellower and more valuable they become. Dry and sweet at the same time somehow, with lime, leather, oil, and smoke, and a suggestion of mint. Resinous on the tongue, and mouth feel. It whispers down the throat, and then leaves a rather delicate burn considering the 80 proof, with a smoky spicy aftertaste like a really good tobacco and spicy notes. [Item #437]

This is a true artesian Tequila and one of the highest quality that our store has ever tasted. The Reposado is 100% blue agave. It has been aged 4 months in 200 lt. bourbon barrels and has a golden amber color. Very well balanced with rich agave, touch of sweetness from the bourbon barrels and hints of spice.
