Herencia Mexicana Resposado  ($54.99)   750 ml
****/Highly Recommended, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "The attractive lemon juice yellow color is spotlessly clean. The first sniffs pick up scents of cream and oaky vanilla; the oak influence continues on after further aeration to the point of near-exclusion. The palate entry is creamy and nutty (almond paste); at midpalate the intense nuttiness and creaminess stay the course; it's almost like a tequila liqueur, it's so sweet, caramel-like, and creamy. Ends up thick, concentrated, honeyed, and sweet. I have to admit that the lack of typical agave/herbal presence bothered me at first, but the stunningly biscuity/creamy nature of this reposado is hard not to admire.
